Total synthesis of natural products

Many of our enantioselective, NHC-catalyzed annulations or catalytic kinetric resolutions can be applied to the synthesis of naturally occurring secondary metabolites. Currently, all of our synthetic efforts are directed towards molecules with specific functional properties – such as shapeshifting organic molecules – or the synthesis of biomolecules such as proteins, glycoproteins, and protein–protein conjugates.
